Breastfeeding at Disneyland

Kudos to all pumping and formula-feeding mamas, but based on my experience, in this post I am only going to be sharing my tips for breastfeeding mamas. I have not used bottles to feed my babies at Disneyland and so I cannot speak to that experience, but hats off to you mamas because that looks like so much work to me! (Tip: you can ask for hot water and cold water for free from any Disney quick service restaurant). Also, the Baby Care Centers (at the end of Main Street across from Plaza Inn, and next to Ghiradellis in California Adventure) have really awesome amenities, including a separate room with nursing chairs, outlets for pumping, changing tables, sink, bottle warmers, high chairs, toddler potties, and even a vending machine with diapers, wipes, formula, etc.

Breastfeed on benches in shady and quiet areas

There are a lot of benches around the parks, and shady spots that you can sit in to nurse your baby. I have my Milk Snob nursing cover and have never felt judged for breastfeeding at Disneyland Resort. It seems to me that Disneyland has more shady spots to nurse in, but California Adventure still has lots of options! If you don’t feel comfortable nursing in public, you can always utilize the nursing rooms in the Baby Care Centers.

My favorite places to breastfeed in Disneyland (not an exhaustive list – these are just my favorite places; you can breastfeed anywhere you can sit or stand)

  • The outside seating at Plaza Inn at the end of Main Street
  • At the Red Rose Tavern in Fantasyland
  • Around Edelweiss Snacks in Fantasyland
  • In Toontown
  • By or in the Fantasyland Theatre
  • Outdoor seating at Rancho del Zocalo in Frontierland
  • In Pooh’s Corner in Critter Country
  • By Rise of the Resistance in Galaxy’s Edge
  • The bottom level of Hungry Bear Restaurant in Critter Country
  • The back of Alien Pizza Planet in Tomorrowland

My favorite places to breastfeed in California Adventure (again, not exhaustive, just my favorites)

  • The pathways around Grizzly River Run, especially behind Grizzly River Run
  • Smokejumpers Grill
  • Inside the Animation Building (air conditioning!) in Hollywood Land
  • At Pacific Wharf
  • In front of the Incredicoaster
  • At Paradise Garden Grill

Breastfeed on Rides

I take my nursing cover in my little backpack onto the rides, and have breastfed my baby under our cover on the following rides:

  • It’s a Small World
  • Pirates of the Caribbean
  • The Tiki Room
  • The Disneyland Railroad.

Where are your favorite quiet spots to sit at Disneyland and California Adventure?
